A factorial randomized controlled study involving 120 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes evaluated medication adherence using MedpeR® alongside standard care and clinical pharmacological intervention. Medication adherence was 70.0% with standard care, 73.1% with MedpeR® plus standard care, 75.3% with clinical pharmacological intervention plus standard care, and 82.1% when MedpeR® and clinical pharmacological intervention were combined with standard care. The study supports the role of MedpeR® as part of a medication-adherence support approach.
